When a person coughs, the vocalization created has a signature as unique as a fingerprint. This is also true of an “on demand,” forced cough vocalization. Capturing this type of vocalization creates a signal data signature or SDS that is a form of biometric data.
SoundPass™ is a non-medical, biometric tool using multi-factor authentication (MFA) for establishing and maintaining a bubble of perimeter security around the premises or a group of people. Within minutes, our proprietary AI/ML system compares a new forced cough vocalization SDS submitted by the app to the user's personal Baseline SDS that is on file. SoundPass users receive an “Authenticated” message if the new SDS matches the Baseline, and SoundPass Plus users also receive a QR code for verification at locations using the SoundPass Access software.
Once a personal Baseline is in place, users can check their current SDS anytime to see whether it matches. Baseline Conditions that can result in a “Not Authenticated” message can occur for many reasons including, but not limited to, voice fatigue or strain, exposure to pathogens, acute and chronic conditions, environmental and other noxious agents. SoundPass does not diagnose or identify the reason for the mismatch.
Secure Access for Individuals, Families, and Businesses
Gain entry to businesses or venues using the SoundPass System by upgrading to SoundPass Plus. SoundPass Plus generates a scannable QR code each time a new SDS matches the user’s Baseline that can be scanned by the SoundPass Access scanner app.
For Businesses, Educational Campuses, Facilities Managers, Public Venues
SoundPass Access is used to scan the QR code of anyone using SoundPass Plus. Fast, inexpensive, and easy to activate, the SoundPass Access scanning app is designed to support the security protocols already in place where you live, learn, work, play, and worship.
For enterprises, the SoundPass Access admin portal is a sophisticated toolset to allow premise operators, employers and businesses to administer SoundPass Plus licenses, manage usage and enable system operators.

SoundPass is a personal biometric security tool that can be used by anyone, anywhere, throughout the day to conduct self-checks. First, users submit a series of forced cough vocalizations to establish a Baseline SDS. Once the Baseline is established, SoundPass can compare the new SDS to see whether or not it matches the Baseline. If the new SDS matches, the user gets an “Authenticated” message. If the new SDS does not match, the user gets a “Not Authenticated” message. Conditions that can result in a “Not Authenticated” message include voice fatigue or strain, exposure to pathogens, acute and chronic conditions, environmental and other noxious agents. SoundPass does not diagnose or identify the reason for the mismatch.
Employers can use SoundPass Plus and SoundPass Access together, to support the security of their employees and their businesses. In addition to multi-factor authentication, SoundPass Plus supplies a QR code for scanning at points of entry to businesses using SoundPass Access.
